Legal Ease specializes in the placement of legal professionals (legal secretaries, paralegals to attorneys) on a temporary basis or into permanent, full time employment. Although based out of San Diego, Legal Ease works with individuals and clients nation wide. We are committed to making the best match possible between our candidates and clients. Kristin Berry, San Diego Recruiter:

Kristin was a litigation paralegal for several years with one of the largest plaintiffs’ law firms in the country. After leaving the law firm environment, she worked in-house for a well-known hi-tech company as part of their litigation team. The transition from paralegal to recruiter came naturally because she was able to use her legal background as a foundation for legal experience and law firm requirements. Prior to founding Legal Ease in the fall of 2002, she had worked with another staffing agency. She is a seasoned recruiter with several years of experience and understands the demands of legal support personnel, the law firm culture and client expectations.

Kristin graduated with a BA degree in Sociology and minor in Law & Society from the University of California at San Diego. Upon graduating with her BA, she completed the ABA Paralegal Program at the University of San Diego. Through the University of San Diego’s employment assistance program, she was able to begin her career as a Paralegal.

Additionally, Kristin is a board member and alumni for the USD Paralegal Alumni Association, a member of the San Diego Legal Secretaries Association, San Diego Paralegal Association and the Los Angeles Legal Secretary Association. In her spare time she is an active volunteer and supporter of the San Diego Humane Society and the American Cancer Society.


Karen Whitaker, San Jose/Peninsula Recruiter/Branch Manager:

Karen's experience as a legal secretary and executive assistant laid the groundwork for her success as a staffing specialist in the legal arena. Her prior work history has given her an understanding of the inner workings of major Silicon Valley law firms and corporate legal departments. Prior to joining Legal Ease, Karen has worked as a legal recruiter within the bay area for several years.
Karen earned a BA degree in Marketing at St. Mary's University, Moraga, California. She is a member of PALSA and PASCCO.

Gina B. Domizio, San Francisco and East Bay Recruiter:

Gina began her legal career as a paralegal in South Florida.   After several years working in a variety of practice areas, she moved to Manhattan and joined one of New York’s leading international law firms as a litigation paralegal.  Two years later she moved with several of the partners and associates to assist in the opening of a branch office in the Bay Area.  Gina continued her career with the NY-based law firm for almost a decade and came to manage the attorney recruiting and paralegal departments.   
 
Gina received her Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from the University of Florida and also earned a Paralegal Certificate from Santa Fe Community College’s ABA-approved program.
